Weekly Land Auction Results in Iowa

This past week was a quiet week for farmland sales. 7 Tracts of land were offered at auction. The highlight of the week was farms trading rather high per CSR2 point in Johnson County at   $123.00 per point. As another highlight is a farm trading in Buena Vista County at a $84.00 per CSR2 value. The land market has always been regional valued, when margins were not as tight these regions were broader. With farming margin being tight for going on 5 years now. I do think these areas have begin to retract and each sale is showing signs of that. It is beginning to be tougher to project a outcome on a upcoming land auction.

Iowa Land Company representatives are selling highly tillable farms across the state with good results especially if no surrounding land has come available surrounding the farm being sold for some time. We are happy to see farmers back in the field this week across the state getting crops out of the field after a long break with record amounts of rain falling in the month of October. If you’re considering selling land and would like a free farmland appraisal contact Iowa Land Company today!
