We had yet another great auction sale in Wright, County Iowa on November 10th, 2020 at The Red Shed located in Clarion, Iowa. We had over 25 registered bidders with active bidding from local producers and investors looking to diversify their investment holdings. Phone bidding was chosen over online bidding by interested parties for this sale. Bidders from Arizona and Minnesota were actively bidding on the farmland by phone with Iowa Land Company representatives.  

 

This was a good farm with good soils in a strong area in Wright County, Iowa. With that being said, the final hammer drop of $10,500 per acre. The farm was bought by a farmland holdings company that owned land in the region.

We have seen some volatility in the farmland market in areas in 2020. Good farmland like this tract does not come up for sale often and the sale price result shows.
