Weekly Land Auction Results in Iowa

Some strong, some light… We are still seeing volatility in the market. Strong sales located in Sioux County and Marshall County. Sioux County shows location is everything with farms. One of the tracts in Sioux County carrying a  65.4 CSR2 sold for $14,200. A farm of this make up 100 miles to the east would be hard to break $7,000 per acre on the same  CSR2 value. Head east to Marshall County and you can see a top end upper 90s CSR2 farm bring $13,200 per acre which is a strong price for Marshall County.  I believe sales volume is down due to trade talks and a wet fall / spring.  In fact, land prices will not turn until profit margins turn, we are in a different climate them we were five years ago. For more information on the market or if you are looking to sell Iowa farmland contact Iowa Land Company today. Honest opinions providing honest results since day one!
